This course reviews international best practices in PPP contract management from a strongly practice-oriented perspective, while also addressing the key foundations required for policy development and the design of robust governance arrangements.
The course is structured in three parts: the first focuses on general aspects and on the design of the contract management strategy; the other two address, respectively, general activities (those that facilitate effective contract management and provide tools and methodologies, such as knowledge management or relationship management) and substantive activities (those with a direct impact on service delivery or affordability, such as change management, claims management, and dispute resolution, among others).
Several leading national contract management guidelines are reviewed, and case studies are discussed.
The Best Practice in PPP Contract Management course and certification is a mandatory prerequisite to sit the official examination administered by APMG International and to access the Practitioner certificate in PPP contract management.
The examination consists of two parts: one more theoretical, focused on fundamentals, and one more practical, for a total of 40 questions.
A score of 50% (20/40) grants the BPCM™ Foundation certificate.
To obtain the Practitioner certificate, a score of 70% (28/40) is required. The examination is closed book and can be taken through your accredited training provider.
